Communication is Key in Recruiting

What is recruiting in today’s market really like?  It’s tough. It’s a needle in a haystack. It’s very focused work that brings a hiring manager three to five “A” candidates to an interview process.
And then?  It’s up to the hiring manager to communicate regularly with us to manage the ever-challenging process of keeping candidates engaged.  Without consistent, timely feedback, candidates will accept a competitor’s offer in a heartbeat.  And in this tight labor market, they have plenty to choose from.  We never want to recruit by damage control; we need to be leading the process with active communication.
For many employers the current labor market is extremely tight, and the thought that it could get much tighter is quite scary. In April 2019, the unemployment rate reached 3.6 percent, the lowest rate since the 1960s. Looking at a broad range of labor market indicators, we conclude that the US labor market is now tighter than it was in 2007, which was the peak of the expansion prior to the financial crisis, and in some occupations, the tightest since at least the 1960’s.
TKG clients often tell us we are the most communicative recruiting firm they have ever worked with and truly appreciate the consistent communication especially when challenges arise – whether it’s pushing out an interview, changing the role midstream or a change in the process. We handily manage these issues when we are in solid communication with our hiring managers.
Put us to the test in this very dry labor market and see what we can do for you.  Reach out to us today.
